Luna Mae

Luna Mae a tough, soulful lady. Good to the eye and ear! She was born on the 16th of November 1991 in Arnhem. Now she lives in Haarlem since 5 years.

Luna already started singing when she was a little girl. When she turned 7, that’s when she really started taking the singing thing serious. This became so important for her in her life that she decided to make this her future. She’s in the last year of her music education. Favourite music styles are R&B, Soul, and her inspiration is Aaliyah, Alicia Keys, Beyoncé, Erykah Badu etc.

She’s been active in Sarah-Jane & the Xperience, The Muffin Majors, A Defenition Of A Blessed Band. December 2010 she went to the U.S.A. with all the singers from the well known ”We Are The World” collab Youtube video, for a gig on a private party in Washington DC. In January 2011 she won the TV-show Korenslag with her Gospel choir. At this moment she’s very busy with the Gospel choir doing lots of gigs as well national as international. Not that long ago she hit the studio with Dutch rapper Winne. They recorded a song together that will be released on his album. Also she did a song (‘Dit was ‘m dan’) with the well known Dutch group Zwartlicht. That song is already released on the internet.

She won Artquake 2009 (category HipHop/RnB), is the winner of ‘Drop Your Demo’ Radio 538, took part to the We Are The World collab (Worldwide Youtube Edition Haiti ft. Lisa Lavie) and she aired on CNN and ABCnews.
